How to Recognize Anxiety

Did you know that a large amount of people don't even know that they are suffering from an anxiety disorder? This is because anxiety is made up of a variety of symptoms and not everyone experiences the same exact symptoms when suffering a disorder.

For the most part, signs of anxiety are shown through behaviors, beliefs, thoughts, sensations or a mix of all of these. Do you think you or someone you know is experiencing anxiety symptoms?

Here are a couple of symptoms that you should look out for:

- Worrying a lot about what others think of you
- Worrying about what "will" happen and always thinking negative of the future
- Making errors a big deal or more negative then what it really is
- Not being able to concentrate or focus at work, school etc.
- Lots of thoughts running through your head which keeps you from focusing

These are some of the emotional symptoms of anxiety but it can also present physical problems such as:

- faster heartbeats
- high blood pressure
- nausea
- light headed
- fatigue
- stomach pain
- body pain and overall discomfort
- sweating

It is important to watch out for these signs of anxiety whether you or someone you know is experiencing these symptoms. If you do think you have anxiety then make sure you seek treatment as soon as possible before these symptoms become worse.
